Reconditioning Technician

Position Overview: The Reconditioning Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on pre-owned vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring that every vehicle meets our rigorous standards before it reaches our customers. Key Responsibilities:Conduct thorough inspections of pre-owned vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issuesPerform diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to determine the cause of problemsCarry out repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical system workDocument all work performed and communicate findings and recommendations to the Service Advisor and/or customerMaintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and guidelinesStay current with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training or certification is preferredSeasoned Technician with at least 3 years experience with electric and diagnosticsProven experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on pre-owned vehiclesStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipmentAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills and a customer-focused approachASE certification(s) or other relevant automotive certifications are a plusValid driver's license with a clean driving record At Hunter Automotive Group, our Core Focus is to improve the quality of life for our employees, customers, and community.
