The role delivers hands-on technical support for production equipment, tooling, fixtures, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact throughput, quality, and operational efficiency.\n\nWorking alongside the Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Engineer, this technician bridges the production floor and the warehouse by maintaining equipment uptime, sustaining 5S standards, and advancing lean initiatives across all operational areas. The role reflects ICC's employee-centric, team-based approach to problem solving and commitment to exceeding the expectations of both internal and external customers.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.\n\nEquipment & Tooling\n\nSupport daily VAD production by troubleshooting equipment issues, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating corrective actions with the Manufacturing Engineer.\nPartner with the Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate, test, validate, and implement new tooling, fixtures, and semi-automated assembly equipment.\nExecute Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs per established schedules; maintain associated spare parts inventory.\nUtilize optical comparator and other measurement tools to verify fixture, tooling, and component dimensions.\nMaintain calibration records for gauges, torque tools, and measurement equipment in support of QMS requirements.\n\nQuality & Documentation\n\nDevelop and maintain work procedure instructions (WPIs) and setup documentation in support of VAD production routers.\nSupport the Quality Engineer in documenting out-of-spec conditions and providing evidence for supplier-related root cause investigations.\nComply with all applicable elements of the ICC Quality Management System, including AS9100D requirements.\n\nContinuous Improvement & Lean\n\nLead 5S audits and sustainment activities across VAD, the warehouse, and facility areas; maintain visual management boards and zone ownership boards.\nSupport kaizen events and CI projects initiated by the Manufacturing Engineer or CI Leader.\nConduct time studies and collect process data (cycle time, yield, downtime) to support improvement initiatives.\nIdentify and document waste in warehouse and production workflows; participate in standard work development.\nParticipate in tiered huddle boards and escalate improvement opportunities through the CI tracking system.\n\nCompliance & Safety\n\nAdhere to all ICC policies, ITAR requirements, FAR/DFARS compliance obligations, and applicable quality system elements.\nMaintain clean, safe, and organized work areas across all assigned operational zones in compliance with 5S standards.\nRequirements:\n\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:\n\nHigh school diploma required; 2-year technical or trade school in engineering or equipment technology preferred.\n3 years of industry experience in a manufacturing environment required.\n2-3 years of hands-on tooling, fixture, and production equipment experience required.\n\nSKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:\n\nITAR: U.S. Person required. This position requires access to hardware and information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.\nEngineering Drawings: Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings and assembly documentation.\nEquipment: Basic PLC troubleshooting or electronic equipment controller experience a plus.\nLean/CI: Working knowledge of 5S, standard work, visual management, and waste identification.\nMeasurement: Proficient with optical comparator, calipers, and standard dimensional measurement tools.\nSystems: Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ERP/database experience a plus.\nIndustry: Interconnect, fiber optics, or cable/harness assembly experience a plus.\nQuality Systems: AS9100D/ISO9001 experience a plus.\nAerospace & Defense: Prior defense or aerospace manufacturing experience a plus.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers.
