This position offers the opportunity to lead teams, design complex software systems, and directly influence the performance and security of national defense ResponsibilitiesLead software development efforts appropriate to the project's development methodology (Agile, Spiral, Waterfall, etc.)Design, develop, and maintain complex database and data repository interfaces and queriesImplement or enhance high-performance algorithms to meet strict functional and system requirementsModify, debug, and improve existing software to address bugs, integrate with new hardware, or enhance performanceDevelop software solutions by analyzing system performance, working with system engineers and users, and investigating data flows and processing logicApply scientific analysis and modeling techniques to design scalable and maintainable software systemsDesign and implement software components under strict timing, resource, or interface constraintsConduct and support testing of software components, and ensure alignment with requirements and standardsProvide quality control oversight on development outputs and team deliverablesImplement process improvements and recommend enhancements to coding standards and documentation practicesCollaborate with system engineers and hardware engineers to define detailed software requirements and performance specsOversee software installation and coordinate with operations teams to ensure proper system function and complianceQualifications:Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraphTypically 14+ years of software engineering experience (may vary based on education level)Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or PythonDemonstrated experience in systems engineering collaboration and performance tuningExpertise in software lifecycle, systems integration, and algorithm developmentProven experience leading software development teams and mentoring junior developersFamiliarity with secure software development practices and classified environmentsBenefits at Navius Technologies At Navius, we invest in our people.
