EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead and drive all environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance, building a strong safety culture, and implementing programs that reduce risk, improve employee well-being, and support operational excellence.This is a high-impact leadership position for someone who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and knows how to influence both the floor and the leadership team.How You'll ContributeLead and manage all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives across the facilityEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)Drive a proactive safety culture focused on prevention, accountability, and continuous improvementConduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; implement corrective actionsDevelop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and leadership teamsOversee workers’ compensation, injury management, and return-to-work programsMaintain and improve environmental compliance programs, including waste management and reportingPartner with operations and engineering teams to ensure safe processes, equipment, and facility changesTrack, analyze, and report key EHS metrics and KPIs to leadershipLead and mentor EHS team members and safety committeesWhat Makes You a Great FitBachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, with Tier 1 automotive experience required (non-negotiable)Proven experience supporting high-volume, fast-paced production environmentsStrong expertise in OSHA compliance, audits, and regulatory reportingHands-on experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementationDemonstrated success in reducing safety incidents and driving a strong safety cultureExperience working closely with plant leadership and production teams to influence and implement safety initiativesStrong understanding of environmental compliance and safety management systemsExcellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills across all levels of the organizationExperience in unionized environments is a strong plusBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
