We’re looking for a candidate that is a passionate problem solver with excellent communication skills that is experienced with troubleshooting and designing new functionality based on client requirements and documentation.\n\nWe move fast and expect you to own your work end-to-end. It's not always easy, but what we build directly improves outcomes for families and providers relying on child care every day.\n\nPrimary responsibilities:\n\nMaintain and enhance new and existing backend application components and ETL processes including creation and modifying of stored procedures, SQL Job, SSIS packages, API's, and PowerShell and Batch scripts.\nAnalyze and troubleshoot complex data and performance issues and provide technical solutions.\nActively utilize modern AI based tools such as Claude Code for daily repetitive tasks and new code development.\nImplement solutions clearly and concisely, resulting in code that is easy to understand and maintain.\nDebug and test all new and/or modified code.\nActively participates in after-hours code deployments, database scripting, and the running of critical job components where applicable.\nCreation of necessary technical documentation based on implementation details.\nParticipate in daily product standups to report progress, work performed, and potential blocking issues or other problems.\nWork directly with clients for requirement gathering and extraction of necessary details for the building of new data structures.\nParticipate in code reviews to ensure conformance to internal standards and specifications.\nParticipate in product design sessions with clients to provide technical guidance as well as level of effort estimates for future planning.\nWork closely with the Quality Assurance team to provide technical support during testing phases.\nAbility to follow through and complete coding on critical projects and tasks, meeting any and all important deadlines, where applicable.\nStays current with technical training and company standards as required.\n\nWho You Are:\n\nMinimum 4-5 years of recent experience with enterprise level Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)\nStrong Knowledge of:\nRelational Database Design\nUnderstanding of ETL-related processing and best practices\nT-SQL programming, including the development of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views\nAbility to profile and performance tune stored procedures using query plan execution tools\nPassionate problem solver; adept at troubleshooting support tickets by tracing the code's path to identify and solve problems.\nTeam player capable of working in a small group as well as independently\nStrong interpersonal skills in communication, planning, organizing, analyzing, and problem-solving\nHigh attention to detail\nExperience working with Claude Code and Jira is a plus\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nThe ability to work from anywhere in the United States, this position is primarily remote, with required travel one time per year.\nThe compensation range for this role is $100,000-$110,000.\nComprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance (starting the first of the month after start date), Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Paid Parental Leave.\n401(k) retirement plan, with company match\nPaid company holidays and generous PTO\n\nKinderSystems actively embraces diversity and equal opportunity in a meaningful way.
