Senior Software Developer

A family-oriented company in the oil and gas industry, is seeking a Senior Software Developer to maintain and enhance our proprietary ERP system. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and enhance our proprietary ERP system, built in VB.Net and Visual Studio. Actively contribute to meaningful projects in a 90% backend/10% frontend development environment. Collaborate closely with a small, focused team to develop new software programs and improve business operations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the ERP system and other business-critical software. Assist in various IT-related tasks, including user support, hardware maintenance, and cybersecurity efforts. Participate in database management tasks, ensuring optimal performance and integrity. Provide technical support to the organization, addressing software and IT infrastructure issues. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend development. Expertise in VB.Net, Visual Studio, and SQL databases. Proficiency in Node.js and experience with React is a plus. Strong knowledge of DB2 on IBM i (AS400) and Windows OS. Experience with RPG programming (legacy systems) is preferred. Ability to work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the trucking or transportation industry. Familiarity with front-end development technologies is a plus. Work Environment & Benefits: Starts onsite full-time at Wooster, Ohio; hybrid option available after 6 months (2 days remote, 3 days onsite).
