Manager of Quality Assurance and Test Automation

Full-TimeThis role is Contract-to-Hire.Hourly Rate: $75-$80/hour w2 (depending on experience)Salary Range: $140,000-$150,000 plus bonus and benefitsReporting Mode: Hybrid - 1 days onsite per quarter, otherwise remoteWe are looking for a hands-on Manager of Quality Assurance to build and scale delivery of high-quality software across the cloud-based healthcare platform. You’ll own quality strategy, automation, and standards across a fast-moving, changing, highly integrated ecosystem. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work side-by-side with multiple technical teams to bring structure to a developing organization with minimal established processes and to ship quickly without sacrificing reliability, security, or compliance.What You’ll Own:Set and drive the vision for Quality Engineering across the software platformBuild consistent, scalable quality practices across teams and vendorsHelp move fast while staying stable, secure, and compliantAct as a key voice for software quality with leadership and cross-functional partnersWhat You’ll Do:Lead and grow a high-performing Quality Assurance team of Automation Engineers, QA Engineers and QA AnalystsDefine and evolve quality strategy in an unstructured environmentEstablish meaningful metrics (defect leakage, automation impact, coverage, release risk) and use them to drive decisionsCreate lightweight, effective quality processes that don’t slow teams downLead automation strategy across UI, APIs, and integrationsHelp teams build maintainable, reusable automation frameworksEmbed testing into CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments from day oneEnsure strong end-to-end quality across services, integrations, and third-party partnersPartner with engineering and infrastructure to test performance, resilience, and failure scenariosWork closely with technical teams to align on priorities and outcomesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree7+ years in Quality Assurance of software4+ years managerial experience leading teamsExperience driving Quality Assurance at a senior levelProven track record building automation strategies in fast-paced environments - Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG and Cucumber experience is highly preferred (not required)Strong understanding of modern development practices (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps)Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing at all levelsAdapts quickly in dynamic environments with minimal established processesExperience working in healthcare or a highly regulated environment with careful considerations given to data privacy, HIPAA, PHI, compliance and information security---------------------------Compensation Statement.
