This role will ensure the program criteria and objectives are carried out, while also maintaining a safe, enjoyable and engaging experience to all participants.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Directs and supervises program to meet set objectivesCreate program curriculum that is appropriate for the physical ability of program participantsMonitors and evaluates the effectiveness and the impact of the programEnsures that YMCA safety standards are met and enforcedAssists in the marketing and distribution of program informationOther duties as assigned by direct supervisorQUALIFICATIONS:At least 18 years of agePrior lacrosse coaching or playing experience preferred.Strong communication skills and the ability to relate well to the publicExceptional customer service and delivery skillsCompletion of Child Abuse Prevention and Blood Borne Pathogens trainings within 60 days of hire. Understanding of YMCA First Aid, Safety and Risk polices and procedures.WORKING CONDITIONS:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment primarily outdoorsThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderateEmployee may occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 20 poundsFlexible work hours as neededCORE COMPETENCIES:Mission Advancement: Accepts and demonstrates the Y's values.
