The role applies deep technical knowledge while operating within established practices and focuses on executing strategy, managing priorities, and ensuring operational excellence.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\nOversee day-to-day database operations, including performance, availability, security, and data integrity.\r\n\r\n\r\nManage database utilities, capacity planning, backups, and recovery across environments.\r\n\r\n\r\nPartner with application, infrastructure, and business teams to support database needs and resolve issues.\r\n\r\n\r\nMonitor project timelines and costs for database-related initiatives within the assigned area.\r\n\r\n\r\nProvide consultation and guidance to database users and stakeholders.\r\n\r\n\r\nPrepare operational metrics, status updates, and progress reports.\r\n\r\n\r\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency within database operations.\r\n\r\n\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\n\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience in database administration or data operations.\r\n\r\n\r\nStrong understanding of database administration tools and practices.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\r\n\r\n\r\nStrong communication and stakeholder-management skills.\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience supporting enterprise-scale or multi-platform database environments.\r\n\r\n\r\nBackground in regulated or highly controlled environments.\r\n\r\n\r\nIf you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.\r\nAbout Cigna Healthcare\r\nCigna Healthcare, a division of The Cigna Group, is an advocate for better health through every stage of life.
