Overview Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Research Assistant - POSTGRADUATE WAYNE LAW ARTHUR NEEF LAW LIBRARY FELLOW at its Detroit campus location. Essential Functions Responsibilities The fellowship offers an opportunity for a recent law school graduate to gain experience working with Wayne State\'s Arthur Neef Law Library. The fellow\'s responsibilities will include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: Legal Research Assistance Reference Service Assistance Collection Development Assistance Research Guide Development Data Entry/Management Student & Community Engagement Special Projects The fellow will work closely with Arthur Neef Law Library staff and will report directly to the Law Library Director. The fellow will conduct legal research and data entry / management to assist Wayne Law faculty and administration\'s scholarship and scholarship-related initiatives. This includes the responsibilities listed above, as well as additional responsibilities as assigned that are viewed to be in line with the position. Qualifications Required J.D. from a Counsel-accredited law school is required. Bar passage is not required. The applicant must be a Class of 2025 graduate from a Counsel-accredited law school and have an interest in law librarianship. Candidates must be able to exercise independent judgment; responsibly manage multiple projects; communicate effectively orally and in writing; and complete assignments with minimal supervision. The candidate will start on or before March 9, 2026; the fellowship will last at least one calendar year from the candidate's start date. The fellowship is a 37.5 hour a week position.
