Associate Class Action/Civil Litigation Attorney

Albert Law PLLC is a plaintiff-side law firm specializing in class action, consumer fraud, and personal injury cases. We are a team of five attorneys seeking justice for everyday people who have been aggrieved by large organizations. We are searching for two associate attorneys with 2-5 years of litigation, clerkship, or trial experience to join our team.The firm's ethos was based upon Greg Albert's experience working at two prestigious nationwide plaintiffs' firms. Founded in 2016, the firm works hard to present excellence to the courts and deliver top results for its clients. The firm fearlessly stands against ruthless corporate and governmental organizations that have many resources but less grit. We are currently litigating a $1.8 billion insurance bad faith case against international insurance companies, a $150 million case against radio show host Dave Ramsey, and a federal civil rights case against the State of Washington on behalf of 7,000+ indigent children. We are also fighting for dozens of victims of childhood sexual abuse, professional malpractice, and other catastrophic injuries.Role DescriptionYour primary role will be to push cases forward by conducting discovery, taking depositions, and eventually trying cases. The role is ideal for a junior to mid-level associate who seeks to quickly gain more litigation and trial experience than their peers at larger firms. People skills are an enormous benefit when dealing with clients and approaching juries for relief. This is an on-site position in a collaborative office with fun coworkers who like to work hard and play hard. As an Associate Attorney, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients by handling many aspects of litigation, which may include:Managing cases from inception to completionMaintaining strong client relationshipsDrafting persuasive motions and confidently presenting arguments in courtSkillfully conducting and defending depositionsSuccessfully taking cases to trialOur ideal candidate will have: A strong interest in complex plaintiffs' class action and personal injury litigation and a passion for advocating on behalf of individuals who have suffered injustices2-5 years of experience in civil litigation (clerking after bar admission will be considered)Experience running their own casesInterpersonal communication skillsAbility to issue-spot and develop theories of liability A desire to practice oral advocacy and a passion for quality writingA desire to grow the practice and take an ownership stakeCompensation:The total compensation structure can be greater than $500,000/year for an associate who helms their cases to victory. Because we are a plaintiffs' firm with inconsistent income, the compensation is based upon an annual salary with a generous bonus program. The salary range for an attorney with 2–5 years of experience is $115,000 to $215,000. The bonuses are based upon: a) an objective measure of the firm’s success, b) an objective calculation based upon a formula for each employee’s contribution, and c) a subjective basis.
