{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f087ade8130054319f745931","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f087ade8130054319f745931","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f087ade8130054319f745931","title":"Implementations Network Engineer II","description":"Location: Scott Air Force Base, ILClearance: US Citizen with DoD SecretWork Schedule: 100% Onsite.Certification: Security+ CE requiredThe Implementations Network Engineer will perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, servicing of network equipment and activation of networks for projects supporting the Department of Defense networks.Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for performing and training team on the following duties:Perform customer coordination, Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A), execution of all reporting functions, and complete data input associated with new service activations to ensure they are implemented in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) standards.Work directly with customers, solution architects and vendor SMEs to implement changes and also identify, analyze, and resolve issues.Manage Service Orders, in accordance with Change Management proceduresEnsure Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) are in place and accurate for scheduled network additions and changesInitiate network device configurations using configletsAnalyze DISN and databases to validate and implement customer requirementsDesign and implementation of solutions to highly technical problems through testing, documentation and modification of configurations on network devicesCoordinate and program customer circuit activation with commercial vendors to establish the engineered solution for end-to-end connectivityPerform network monitoring to assess if deployed changes have caused impacts to customer traffic using provided expectations of traffic behavior, lessons learned, and customer reportingUtilize systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional requirements in support of customer resources.Engage with the DISA project managers and/or customers to resolve issues with incomplete or unclear requirements.Reach out to stakeholders and facilitate approvals as necessary to ensure continual forward progress of the service request.Basic QualificationsRequires BS and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.An active Secret security clearance is required.DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).Proficient knowledge of various network hardware equipment specifications, configuration and testing processes, and industry specifications.Network engineering, problem management, and performance management experience.Knowledge of networking architecture, evaluating, and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities and performing needs assessments.Knowledge of data and voice network design carried over various transmissions systems, router to router connections using military and commercial protocols such as BGP and ISIS, switch-to-switch trunking to include VLANS, and circuit configurations through multiplexers.Experience with network services (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF, etc.) and network appliances (e.g., routers, load balancers, domain name servers, firewalls).Knowledge of configuring, activating, testing, and analyzing network systems.Ability to work in a team environment, but self-driven to complete assignments while continually developing proficiencies in processes.Strong written and verbal communications, team building and collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience at DISA, or knowledge of DISA systems and processesPrior experience with SharePoint data entry, DDOE, or SharePoint order processing.Order services on behalf of the customer;
