This position focuses on general maintenance and repair of Class 8 tractors, dump trucks, and a variety of trailers, including dump (pup) trailers, roll-off trailers, and chassis.We are looking for a self-starter who takes pride in their work, works well independently, and wants to be part of a team that keeps a large fleet safe, reliable, and running efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance and repairs on Class 8 tractors and dump trucksService and repair dump (pup) trailers, roll-off trailers, chassis and various other trailersBrake inspections, repairs, and adjustmentsWheel seals, hubs, and bearing serviceGreasing and lubrication of fleet equipmentPreventative maintenance (PMs) and inspectionsDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using multiple means including brand specific computer programmingPerform DOT-related repairs and safety itemsMaintain clean, organized work area and accurate service recordsQualifications & RequirementsExperience working on Class 8 trucks and trailers preferredValid Driver's License with Class A or B CDL preferredMust have a professional rolling tool box and hand toolsKnowledge of brakes, wheel seals, hubs, suspension, and general mechanical systemsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyStrong work ethic and attention to detailWelding and fabrication experience Ability to physically lift up to 100lbsAbility to physically be able to climb a ladderAbility to physically open a manual tarp system using upper body strength. xhyhwjd What We're Looking ForA self-motivated mechanic who takes ownership of their workSomeone who wants to help R Transport succeed by keeping equipment safe and reliableA team player who values quality, safety, and consistencyA professional who shows up, gets it done, and takes pride in doing it rightWhy R Transport?Competitive hourly pay based on experience100% company-paid medical insurance — rare in this market)Growing company with long-term stabilityPay:$35.00 to $41.00/hour DOE (OT after 40 hours)Requirements:
