Special Education Preschool Teacher2026-2027 School Year Special Education Preschool: disabled children 3 and 4 years old NJ Department of Education Certification Required Teacher of the Handicapped or Preschool - Grade 3 certificate plus Students with Disabilities certificate or Elementary School Teacher K - 8 or K - 6 certificate with 2 years teaching preschool plus Students with Disabilities certification or qualify for certification through the Limited Instructional Certification Program Qualifications: Holder of a Certificate of Eligibility instructional certificate must complete the 50 hour pre-professional experience as required by the NJ Department of Education Demonstrates ability to implement an IEP effectively Demonstrates knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods Ability to maintain a positive learning environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status Atlantic City Public School District is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer.
