{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f073e54dfdbbf1c4a8d7b9bb","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f073e54dfdbbf1c4a8d7b9bb","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f073e54dfdbbf1c4a8d7b9bb","title":"Analyst, Dispatch","description":"Analyst, Dispatch - Manito Transit - Lena, IL\n\nManito Transit LLC is a full-service petroleum, propane, ammonia, and chemical trucking company dedicated to providing high-quality products and services for the purpose of improving customer profitability.\nThis position is part of a career ladder - the selected candidate will be hired into the appropriate tier based on their credentials and experience.\n\nPURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT\n\nResponsible for providing Manito Transit Customers with perfect service through effective planning and communication with drivers.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\n\nResponsible for planning and dispatching drivers to support sales and service in a profitable manner.\n\nCommunicates any and all service issues to our customers timely.\n\nMonitors and documents drivers’ hours of service to ensure compliance and safety.\n\nEnters orders in TMW timely with driver and equipment assignment, tenders loads to drivers and monitors their progress.\n\nEfficiently analyzes all possible drivers routes, prices and freight combinations for maximum cost savings.\n\nMaximizes the number of loads sourced from non-predetermined terminals to optimize savings.\n\nMonitors product prices, costs and availability; identifies orders affected, re-prices and re-sources them to reduce the overall cost.\n\nMaintains a positive environment with customers and all employees.\n\nMonitors driver card access agreements by terminal and maximizes the number of drivers carded to provide flexibility in serving customers.\n\nProvides reports to Operations Manager regarding service failures, driver issues and loads turned down\n\nResponsible for soliciting orders from customers to maximize equipment and driver utilization.\n\nAnalyzes methods to increase utilization to improve service and automate various dispatch functions.\n\nMaintains daily reports and distributes to appropriate parties.\n\nOTHER JOB FUNCTIONS\n\nAdvises Operations Manager of actions taken effecting routing or daily activities.\n\nCommunicates daily load information to appropriate groups.\n\nAssists other departments with inquiries and requests.\n\nFollows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.\n\nPerforms all other duties as assigned.\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\nNormally requires an Associate’s degree or related work experience to demonstrate the ability to learn transportation and dispatching skills, including analytical / problem solving, multi-tasking under pressure and professional communication and customer service skills.\n\nTMW experience preferred.\n\nDemonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.\n\nAbility to interpret a road map legend and content. Must be able to provide driving directions to others.\n\nAbility to work extended hours and weekends, as demand requires.\n\nAbility and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Manito’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.\n\nAbility to use Office, Excel, Word and Outlook proficiently.\n\nMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer, including protected veterans and qualified individuals with disabilities.
