{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f06d686a1f28ebd59f8af9eb","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f06d686a1f28ebd59f8af9eb","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f06d686a1f28ebd59f8af9eb","title":"Visual Inspector, Final Packaging - 2nd shift","description":"***This is a 2nd shift position, schedule is Monday - Thursday, 2:30pm - 1am***\n\n***Eligible for 8% shift differential***\n\nEssential Duties:\n\nPerform visual inspection.\nEnsures quality of manufactured goods.\nInspect goods as they are finished.\nExamine materials from production line before packaging product.\nEnsure company is meeting required specifications in the manufacturing process.\nPerform polishing of inspected product.\nRecord pass/fail grade of products.\nProduce detailed reports.\nCount number of products tested or inspected.\nWeigh product and samples to verify packaging weight.\nCompare color, shape, texture, or grade of material with color chart, template, or sample to ensure consistency.\nPackage product as needed.\n\nKnowledge and Abilities:\n\nAbility to read engineering drawings, technical specifications, product certifications, manufacturing planning, and inspection procedures.\nAbility to interpret SPC plans and results.\nStrong attention to detail, close observation and concentration skills.\nExcellent decision making, planning and organizational skills.\nReport product status accurately, record “turn-backs” for resolution, analyze product history for trends and identify nonconforming material to be properly documented and segregated using Computer software.\nPrepare and use standard documentation for reporting and detailed inspection plans for the purpose of recording measurement results on Computer software .\nInspector is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of appropriate workmanship standards and be able to use sampling plans to establish product acceptance in line with the customer’s specifications.\nPossess a fundamental knowledge of manufacturing processes, familiarity and knowledge of machining, and a basic understanding of special processes (i.e heat treatment, plating, welding, etc.).\nWork safely in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to work independently and in a team.\n\n Education and Experience:\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nA minimum of 1-3 years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.\nPreference to have visual inspecting experience with semi-conductor products and/or aerospace products and assemblies.\n\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
