Inspect, test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and do the necessary maintenance and repairs of equipment which includes conveyor’s, screens, cyclones, clarifiers, dryer, baghouse, etc. Demonstrate through knowledge and principles to install, dismantle, reassemble, replace, repair, and adjust parts and components of equipment with limited supervision, completes work orders accurately as assigned.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNone\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:\nWorks safely, uses appropriate PPE.\nCompletes plant repair work orders.\nPerforms preventative maintenance and repairs to plant equipment, including but not limited to, bearings, belts, trunnions, gearboxes, tracking and screens.\nFabricates and repairs equipment parts using welding techniques.\nCommunicates inventory consumption and needs to inventory specialist to ensure appropriate on-hand inventory is available.\nTrains crews on maintenance and repair techniques.\nSupport continuous improvement activities.\n\nMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)\nFour (4) years of mechanical repair experience.\nSufficient education to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation and records; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics.\nMust be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math and use basic handheld measuring tools.\nComputer skills - Basic computer skills required.\nMust be able to communicate effectively, using both written and spoken forms of communication.\nMust be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays.\nMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and be at least 18 years of age.\nMust have high safety standards for self and others.\nMust be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.\n\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.\nFrequently - Position requires carrying, pushing, pulling 75 pounds.\nRegularly - required to sit or stand, reach, climb and move about the facility.\nFrequently - climbs ladders and stairs.\nWork Environment - Work performed in a plant environment.
