What To ExpectAs a Sr. Construction Superintendent, Piping you will play a critical role in managing and executing construction projects from start to finish. You will work closely with your Project team, Design team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This position will be responsible for overseeing field execution of complex piping systems including chiller plant, ultra-pure water, process gas and chemical distribution systems.What You'll DoLead day-to-day site operations for mechanical piping scopes including chilled water systems, condensate water, glycol systems, UPW distribution, specialty gases and hazardous chemical pipingEnsure all installations meet project specifications, codes, and semiconductor facility standards eg. Cleanroom protocols, vibration control). Evaluates plans, builds project schedules, supports submittal reviews, writes RFIs and coordinates in-field shutdowns with project stakeholdersTrack site execution and inspections to ensure work is performed according to safety guidelines and quality standards. Ensure adherence of contractors’ Quality Control standards and support internal Quality Assurance/Commissioning for turnover of MEP systemsCoordinates field execution with all contractors, establishes dimensional layout/control, verify installation material in the field matches the design documents and ensures contractor as-builts are accurately capturedReviews project plans, P&ID’s, single-line diagrams, and determine the feasibility of construction as well as potential value engineering opportunitiesManages multiple work fronts simultaneously while adhering to Tesla specifications, procedures, and policies.
