You'll work on low-level communications, real-time systems, and hardware bring-up in a fast-moving engineering environment.What You’ll DoIntegrate vendor hardware and sensors into a common software framework and ensure correct low-level communication (CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.)Implement RTOS-based applications and middleware components required by the productArchitect and write high-quality, maintainable C (and C++) code for real-time embedded environments, including safety-relevant systemsSupport hardware bring-up, perform low-level board and SoC debugging, and resolve system-level issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to productionize software on new devices and manage lifecycle/maintenance processesBasic QualificationsBS/BA, MS, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field — graduating by December 2026 or Summer 2027Strong background in embedded software development using C/C++ (assembly experience a plus)Experience or demonstrated ability to perform low-level hardware debugging to validate full-system operationFamiliarity with real-time constraints and embedded system designNice to HaveHands-on experience with RTOS and middlewarePrior exposure to safety-critical systems or robotic real-time constraintsSelf-starter mentality and ability to learn new technical tools quicklyExperience working in fast-paced, cross-disciplinary engineering teamsWork Location & CompensationLocation: Sunnyvale, CA — this role is expected to be primarily in-office (confidential client’s Sunnyvale office).
