This a full time position and comes with the following great benefits:\nAffordable medical, dental, vision, life and STD Benefits after the 1st of the month\n401K match program\n10 PAID HOLIDAYS\nPaid Time Off and Paid Sick Time\nCareer Development Opportunities\nPosition Summary:\nThe Quality Control (QC) Lab Manager oversees laboratory operations, ensuring testing accuracy, regulatory compliance and personnel management to meet quality standards. They develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), validate methods, handle deviations, and approve results for raw materials and finished products.\nKey Duties:\nLaboratory Operations Management\nOversee daily QC laboratory activities including validation, raw material, inprocess, finished product, and stability testing.\nEnsure all testing is performed according to approved methods, SOPs, and specifications.\nManage laboratory scheduling, workflow prioritization, and resource allocation.\nMaintain laboratory equipment qualification, calibration, and preventive maintenance.\nExecute testing as required.\nCompliance\nEnsure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.\nSupport internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions.\nReview and approve laboratory documentation, investigations, deviations, and OOS/OOT data.\nLeadership & Development\nLead, mentor, and develop QC Chemists.\nEstablish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching.\nMaintain laboratory KPI’s and implement strategies to improve performance.\nAddress performance gaps by addressing gaps timely and adhering to the disciplinary process.\nReward and recognize Lab staff to promote retention and job satisfaction.\nCommunicate with the Lab staff to ensure they receive accurate, relevant and timely information.\nQuality Systems & Continuous Improvement\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives within laboratory operations.\nIdentify process inefficiencies and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).\nParticipate in risk assessments and change control processes.\nBudget & Resource Management\nDevelop and manage the QC laboratory budget.\nOversee procurement of laboratory supplies and equipment.\nParticipate in pricing activities for new and existing contracts.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in chemistry\nTen (10) years of High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) experience.\nA minimum of Five (5) years of pharmaceutical experience; animal Health experience a plus\nA minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience managing people.\nAnimal Health experience a plus\nTechnical Skills:\nStrong knowledge of Analytical Chemistry techniques (HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV/Vis, KF, LC/MS etc.)\ncGMPs and USP/NF Guidelines and Compendial Requirements\nProficient in all MS Office products\nFamiliarity with laboratory data systems.\nStrong leadership and teambuilding abilities.\nExcellent organizational and problemsolving skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.\nKey Competencies\nPersonal soft skills to manage and communicate effectively.\nAttention to detail\nStrategic thinking\nRegulatory expertise\nDecisionmaking under pressure\nCrossfunctional collaboration\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
