Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) - Must be East Coast USJob Description summary:We are seeking a customer-focused and technically driven Senior Field Application Engineer to support electronic customers across the North America East Coast region. This role is responsible for providing technical expertise during the product concept and design phases, helping customers successfully design-in solutions while driving New Business Opportunities (NBOs) and design wins.Working closely with the Regional Sales Manager, sales representatives, and global teams, the Senior Field Application Engineer will support key and emerging customers by identifying application opportunities, coordinating product qualifications, and delivering technical support that enables customer success and revenue growth.About the job:Provide technical support to customers during product concept and design phases to enable successful design-in of products.Work closely with customers, sales representatives, and internal teams to identify and develop new application opportunities that drive New Business Opportunities (NBOs) and design wins.Develop strong relationships with customers and sales partners to enhance our clients technical reputation and competitive positioning.Coordinate product qualifications and technical activities with Engineering, Quality, Factory teams, and Sales Representatives to ensure timely and effective customer support.Deliver product application training, seminars, and technical presentations for customers, distributors, and sales teams.Maintain and update NBO and Top Opportunities reports on a monthly basis to support regional sales strategy.Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to coordinate customer visits and regional travel plans aligned with strategic priorities.Support the resolution of product quality concerns by coordinating with Quality Assurance teams to ensure accurate and timely responses to customers.Provide technical feedback to Product Marketing and Engineering teams regarding customer application requirements and potential new product opportunities.Participate in internal training initiatives and collaborate with Product Marketing and regional leadership through regular technical discussions and conference calls.About you:MUST be East Coast basedBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.5+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, or customer-facing engineering roles.Experience supporting electronic components, semiconductors, or related technologies is preferred.Technical understanding of circuit protection, temperature sensing, or magnetic sensing technologies is a strong advantage.Experience using electronics lab test equipment and familiarity with reliability and quality metrics is beneficial.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers via phone, email, and in-person meetings.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard Windows-based tools.Willingness to travel within the North America East region as required.
