They directly contribute to the profitability of the Company by maximizing the efficiency, quality, and safety in the daily production operation. Guides direct reports on all aspects of their career through active development planning, frequent feedback, coaching, and performance management programs.\n\nJob Duties and Expectations\nLeads and is accountable for the department or departments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that emphasizes efficiency, quality, and safety.\nChampions a people-first culture by developing leadership capabilities across all levels of the production organization\nManage front-line supervisors and operators\nAttend daily production meetings and update on any issues which could cause a delivery date to be missed. Make recommendations and implement for continuous improvement\nResponsible for the recruitment of new and replacement employees, supported by HR\nMaintain a motivated workforce and develop employees to reach their full potential\nWorking with supervisors to maintain absences, sickness, etc\nWork collaboratively with peers to ensure success across all production lines\nProvide input and advice on capex decisions\nResponsible for identifying training and development requirements within all departments\nResponsible for the performance management of staff\nInvolvement in external customer visits when required, and to make sure that visits run smoothly\nResponsible for Production Scheduling for your Area\nFlexibility to cover other shifts and possibly other department areas when needed.\nMust be willing to travel to trade shows, other DPI facilities, vendors, etc\nDevelop, lead, and implement strategic and tactical objectives supporting goals, budget, and customer service initiatives.\nTroubleshoot workflow or operational issues and take corrective action to ensure standards, budgets, and customer service levels are met.\nEnsure product is free from quality defects by performing regular spot inspections of finished goods, identifying root causes, analyzing correction opportunities, and implementing corrective action.\nDevelop best practices and performance standards to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\nLeverages data and resources to identify operational opportunities and develop improvement methods and procedures.\nEnsures effective cross-functional communication occurs to resolve issues and accomplish goals.\nModifies and communicates shifts in plans, goals, actions, staffing, inventory, or priorities to deal with changing situations and acts as a change agent.\nProvides leadership and seeks out developmental opportunities for direct reports regarding training, performance management, employee motivation, and leadership skills.\nResponsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and future business partners.\nEnsures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including those related to safety and health.\nRequirements\n\nBachelor's degree in a business-related discipline preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience\nMust have a minimum of five (5) years of experience managing others in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nMust be a self-starter and be able to successfully execute initiatives with minimal guidance and accomplish stated goals.\nProven success in leading and motivating employees through consistent, effective, and fair methods.\nSuccess in training, developing, and providing direction to staff.\nDemonstrated strategic decision-making and problem-solving skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).\nEffective oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to build relationships at various levels and influence decisions.\n\nApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.\n\nWe are an equal-opportunity employer.
