Diagnosis and repair will be performed in the field a majority of the time as this is a mobile technician position.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPerforms advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, application, and turf equipment as well as established Agriculture Management Solution (AMS) products\n\nParticipates in Service EDUCATE Training Programs required for the development of skills and knowledge\n\nReviews and explains any maintenance, repairs, or other service concerns directly with the customer and/or documents on work order\n\nMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products\n\nMaintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment\n\nMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion\n\nFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments\n\nCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments\n\nAccounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties\n\nConducts and/or support customer clinics\n\nMentors Service Technician Trainees\n\nJob Requirements\n\nExperience performing service repairs on Large Agriculture, Sprayers, and Turf Equipment\n\nAbility to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures\n\nAdvanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural, application, and turf equipment\n\nProficient oral and written communication skills\n\nAbility to work on their own and have excellent organization skills\n\nExcellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes\n\nAbility to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions\n\nAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly\n\nAdvanced Service Technician Certification preferred\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred\n\nValid driver’s license required along with a good driving record\n\nMust maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment\n\nMust have reliable attendance\n\nAbility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays\n\nForklift license preferred\n\nBenefits\n\nPaid Holidays & Vacation Time\n\nHealth, Vision, & Dental Insurance\n\nLife Insurance\n\n401K Plan with Company Match\n\nRoutine Performance & Pay ReviewsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\n\nSafety Equipment Allowance\n\nCompany Provided Uniforms\n\nPay Information\nThe hourly pay range for this position is $19 to $50. Extended Hours are determined by the needs of the store and subject to change.\n\n*Off Season Hours are from November-March.
