For these assignments, our Uniform Security Officers will utilize their personal vehicles as a workspace, and will utilize their personal cell phones as a means to report on and off duty for each work shift.\nSCHEDULE:\nPart-Time: Sun 1500-2300 Tue 0700-1500, Sat 1500-2300, Sun 1500-2300\nCOMPENSATION:\nRate of Pay: $18.00/hour\nBenefits: group accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, identity theft protection, and Paid Medical Leave (eligibility requirements apply).\nLOCATION: Canton, MI\nJOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:\nMust provide excellent customer service when dealing with Clients, Customers, Co-Workers, etc.\nGuard posts – this may include outdoor positions, building lobbies or reception areas.\nWill utilize your personal cell phone to make hourly wellness phone calls into the DK Command Center during the overnight shifts.\nConduct hourly foot patrol of interior and exterior to check entrances, doors, windows and vents are locked and secure against break-ins; and take inventory of the equipment on-site.\nEnsure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.\nCheck for employee and vendor identifications.\nLook for suspicious persons, packages and activities.\nMust follow site specific post guidelines; including but not limited to:\nWill report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair including lighting, plumbing, wet floors, etc.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMust have a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to multiple locations.\nMust have a working cell phone and ability to make hourly wellness calls.\nMust be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED, per MCL 338.1067 §17(2).\nMust be able to pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana). Since our company contracts with the federal government, we must comply to federal laws regarding the use of marijuana, regardless of whether it is used recreationally or medicinally.\nMust not have been convicted of any felonies, per MCL 338.1060 §10(1)(c).\nMust not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol related offenses, per MCL 338.1060 §10(1)(c).\nMust be able to sit, stand, and walk, including up and down stairs, for 8-12 hours at a time.\nMust be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds\nMust be readily able to respond to emergency situations\nMust be able to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted with glasses or contact lenses if necessary).\nMust be able to hear conversations in loud environments either in-person or via radio.\nMust be able to use a smart mobile phone or computer to check emails and complete online training.\nMust be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.\nMust be professional and possess excellent customer service skills.\nMust have excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude.\nMust complete required trainings on time and adhere to all client and company policies.\nAbility to work independently with little or no supervision.\nNote: Many applicants are being considered for this role.
