Domestic and international travel and time at sea are required.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the design, fabrication, deployment, recovery, and lifecycle management of oceanographic and metocean buoy systems\nPlan and oversee metocean field operations, including mobilization, deployment, recovery, and demobilization\nInstall, calibrate, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot oceanographic and metocean instrumentation\nProvide senior technical and operational input to commercial proposals, including scope development, equipment selection, logistics planning, schedules, and cost estimates related to buoy systems\nOversee data acquisition, post‑processing, QA/QC, analysis, and reporting of metocean datasets in collaboration with project scientists\nDevelop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for field operations, instrumentation, and data workflows\nCoordinate with project managers, scientists, and clients to ensure timely delivery of data products that meet contractual, scientific, and quality requirements\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, and security requirements, company policies, and client safety standards during all operational activities\n\nRequired Qualification s\nDemonstrated experience in the design, fabrication, deployment, and recovery of oceanic metocean mooring systems\nFive (5) or more years of experience in metocean or oceanographic operations, including offshore fieldwork\nStrong knowledge of marine field operations, instrumentation deployment, equipment logistics, and operational risk management\nProven ability to lead field activities, make sound operational decisions, and resolve technical challenges in dynamic environments\nDemonstrated attention to data quality, documentation, and QA/QC throughout acquisition and processing workflows\nEffective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams\nProficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)\nValid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements\nAbility to obtain and maintain a TWIC card\nWillingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally and work at sea\nStrong commitment to personal and team safety, including completion of required safety training and medical assessments\n\nDesired Qualifications\nAdvanced university degree or equivalent technical experience in a STEM‑related field (e.g., Oceanography, Meteorology, Geosciences, Earth Engineering, Geomatics, or related discipline)\nExperience developing or refining operational procedures, field manuals, or SOPs for marine operations or data workflows\nExperience supporting proposal development, cost estimation, and technical planning for metocean or oceanographic projects\nForeign language skills\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively with multinational teams and international clients\n\nApplicants must possess current, long‑term authorization to work in the United States.\nCSA is unable to initiate visa sponsorship.
