This role directly impacts resident satisfaction, leasing success, owner confidence, and SPARK’s reputation by ensuring that every property is consistently and exceptionally maintained throughout the year. From pristine landscaping in the summer to prompt snow removal in the winter, this position plays a vital role in creating communities our residents are proud to call home.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nGrounds Maintenance\nMaintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and common areas to SPARK’s quality standards\nMow, trim, edge, and aerate lawns using power and hand tools\nApply fertilizers, pesticides, and weed control treatments as needed\nPerform seasonal property cleanups and ensure all communities remain clean, attractive, and tour-ready.\nMonitor property conditions and proactively identify landscaping, safety, or maintenance concerns.\nInspect, clean, and perform routine preventative maintenance on landscaping equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.\nSnow Removal\nPerform timely snow removal and ice control at all assigned properties\nOperate snow removal equipment and apply de-icing materials to maintain safe walking and driving conditions throughout the property.\nMonitor weather conditions and respond to snow events, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.\nMaintain snow removal equipment and ensure readiness throughout the winter season.\nProperty Stewardship\nMaintain exterior cleanliness, remove debris, and proactively address issues that impact curb appeal or resident experience.\nPerform minor exterior repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned\nCommunicate property concerns and work collaboratively with the property manager and maintenance team to ensure issues are addressed.\nRepresent SPARK professionally while interacting with residents, owners, vendors, and team members.\nTake pride in maintaining every SPARK community as if it were your own\nQualifications\nExperience in commercial landscaping, grounds maintenance, snow removal, or a related field preferred.\nExperience operating commercial landscaping and/or snow removal equipment\nStrong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail and safety\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of assigned properties\nValid driver’s license with a clean driving record\nAbility to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions\nAbility to work a flexible schedule during snow events\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.\nComfortable using a smartphone to receive assignments, communicate with team members, and document completed work.\nJoin us in creating beautiful outdoor spaces that inspire community engagement!
