So in addition to working for a company that helps to support our national security, how does generous healthcare benefits, ownership in the company and every other Friday off sound to you?\n\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented Wire Harness Assembly Technician to support the assembly, testing, and inspection of wire harnesses and cable assemblies. This role requires hands-on experience with wire preparation, connector population, and harness layout while adhering to industry standards and quality requirements.\n\nThe Wire Harness Assembler prepares various type of wire for use in harness assemblies and creates wire harness for use in final assembly of product. Types of wire material include: CAT5, twisted pairs, triples, shielded wire, coax cable, standard wire, wire gauge 30-0, ribbon, and fiber optic.\n\nPosition Responsibilities:\n\nCut, strip, and label wire as indicated in work instructions. Apply shrink sleeving to wires and apply labels\nTerminate wires by placing pins through the use of manual or machine-assisted crimping, soldering, or lugging\nPopulates wire connectors by mechanical hand placement or soldering of pins\nUtilizes guided assembly tools and machines such as Cirris to assist in connector population\nOperates machine to conduct pull test on wire assemblies and utilizes a hand tools to conduct push test on populated connectors\nLays out and threads wire harness from completed wire assemblies by following a harness board diagram\nBundles and ties cable after layout to create cable harness\nEnsure proper wire lay and positioning of solder sleeves to lay properly in the harness\nObtains and maintains IPC 620 & 610 certification & JSTD 001 most current revision.\nUtilizes databases to look up information and complete data input such as SEQUENCE and IFS.\nPerform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.\n\nSkills & Abilities:\n\nFine manual dexterity\nAbility to operate various machines and hand tools\nDemonstrates high attention to detail\nAbility to work independently and as a team player within a small team\nEnjoys repetitive and routine work\nAbility to read and comprehend work and process instructions (read/understand schematics, CAD drawings or blue prints)\nFine motor skills, dexterity, and good eyesight\n\nQualifications:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nObtains and maintains basic certifications in IPC610 and JStandard001 procedures\nAbility to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.\n\nWork Environment:\n\nProduction Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
