{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f02fce574388fd5ce2de517c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f02fce574388fd5ce2de517c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f02fce574388fd5ce2de517c","title":"Engineering Intern","description":"POSITION / TITLE: Design (Mechanical) Engineering Coop\n\nGRADE:\n\nSTATUS: Full Time\n\nFLSA: Non-Exempt\n\nHOURLY/SALARY: Salaried\nREPORTS TO (POSITION):\n\nPosition Purpose:\n\nIn this position, the co-op will be exposed to a variety of mechanical design and development engineering functions.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nWork with AutoCAD and Creo (Pro Engineer) to create/revise part and assembly drawings and 3D models.\n\nAssist in consolidating and updating product family drawings.\n\nAssist in obsoleting legacy product drawings and part numbers.\n\nObserve that all applicable quality standards are met in the product.\n\nPerform other tasks and projects as assigned.\n\nEducation and Training\n\nMechanical Engineering or related course of study preferred.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nMinimum GPA 3.0/4.0 recommended.\n\nStrong PC skills (spreadsheets, databases, word processing) a must.\n\nExperience in metalworking and fabricating environment a positive.\n\nHands-on experience with CAD technology is a strong positive (AutoCAD, Creo Pro Engineer).\n\nExperience performing DFMEAs a positive.\n\nStudy of automatic/hand welding a positive.\n\nExcellent mechanical aptitude.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nIntroduction to GD&T a positive.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
