Site Coordinator/ PE Coach

Our goal at Little HEROES is to empower, mentor, and build leaders of the future. We believe that inclusion and self-direction are key components in helping the youth become young leaders at school and key factors in the community. Little HEROES’ focus is to create a sense of confidence and ownership in youth and provide outlets to help mentor and guide them. We at Little HEROES understand that this philosophy allows kids that tend to be more aggressive and obstructive in school an avenue to release their negative energy into something positive. Healthy bodies create healthy minds, and children in our programs are given a multitude of outlets to establish these healthy bodies and minds. What we are looking for: Little HEROES is looking to bring on coaches that are energetic, positive, self-motivated, hardworking and a go getter. You must have a passion to work with children and a strong desire to affect change in their communities. Coaches will work with grades TK-6th ranging from times of 2pm - 6pm. What you will do: As a site coordinator with Little HEROES, you will be expected to create and maintain safe and inclusive games, tournament, activities, and organize PE sessions in collaboration with existing after school programs. Little HEROES will also be in charge of mentoring a leadership program. Little HEROES will be expected to build rapport with the staff and the community of your school location. Required Skills & Expectations: * High School Diploma or GED * Legally able to work in the United States and with school-age children. * Clear background check and history with Live Scan * Negative TB Test * CPR/First Aid Certification * Ability to attend once a month trainings. * Desire to inspire. * Ability to create a fun, inclusive, age appropriate atmosphere. * Previous experience in a school or classroom setting is a plus. Knowledge of games and activities from small to large groups is helpful. * Ability to communicate effectively and receive/give feedback with the Little HEROES staff, Parents, and Students. * A demonstrated ability to teach, coordinate, inspire and motivate others. * Ability to be a team player - Able to think quickly and adjust when needed. * Take initiative to analyze and solve problems effectively. * Always maintain excellent work ethic and professionalism. Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $2,700.00 - $2,800.00 per month Expected hours: 20 per week Physical Setting: Public school Schedule: After school Day shift Monday to Friday No weekends Experience: Sports coaching: 1 year (Required) Classroom management: 1 year (Required) Working with children: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Teaching Certification (Preferred) CPR/ First Aid Certificate (Required) Ability to Commute: Woodland, CA (Required) Ability to Relocate: Woodland, CA: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
