We're a rapidly growing, award winning franchise that is not your typical company!QualificationsAbility to work with childrenExcellent interpersonal communication and organizational skillsMust pass background examinationExperience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or childcare provider nice to haveCertificates and Licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification courses available for staff in our facilityResponsibilitiesProvides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculumEnforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidentsEvaluates students' progress, and completes required paperworkInteracts with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students' swim skillsActs as a GSS "ambassador" to ensure parental satisfaction•Uses problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounterInspects pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issuesReports issues to management as appropriateMaintains and ensures proper storage of all pool equipmentPlaces and removes lane linesReports accidents and incidents to managementCompletes required documentation and paperworPerforms Deck Teacher duties as neededPerforms light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal etc. on occasionAttend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hoursFulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the EmployerWork Environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidityBenefitsLeadership rolesGreat payValuable work experienceFuture references/referralsCompany DescriptionGoldfish Swim School has been an industry leader in the swim lesson community since 2006.
