This role will play a critical part in establishing advanced board-level debug and true component-level repair capabilities for complex server and data center hardware.\nThis is not a board-swap or tester-only position. We are specifically seeking technicians who can diagnose failures down to the component level and perform precise soldering and rework to recover high-value assemblies.\nCandidates who are open to short-term travel to our Mexico facility (approximately 6–8 weeks) to learn existing processes prior to equipment relocation will be strongly preferred. All travel, accommodations, and per diem will be fully covered. However, travel is not required for consideration.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform advanced board-level troubleshooting and component-level debug and repair on complex multilayer PCBAs\nDiagnose and repair failures across CPU, GPU, FPGA, ASIC, memory, and power subsystems without defaulting to full board replacement\nTroubleshoot high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power distribution circuits using schematics, layout files, and diagnostic tools\nUtilize advanced test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and power analyzers to isolate faults to the component level\nPerform hands-on soldering and rework, including removal and replacement of fine-pitch components and BGAs using proper thermal profiles\nUse X-ray and other inspection methods to validate solder joints and rework quality\nAnalyze POST codes, BIOS logs, boundary scan results, and other diagnostics to pinpoint root causes\nConduct root cause failure analysis and identify trends to reduce recurring defects and improve yield\nPartner closely with engineering to refine debug and repair methodologies for scalability and repeatability\nDevelop and maintain detailed debug guides, repair procedures, and diagnostic documentation\nTrack yield, repair cycle time, and failure trends to support continuous improvement initiatives\nSupport installation, validation, and optimization of SMT, test, and rework equipment during line transfer\nEnsure strict adherence to ESD, safety, and quality standards when handling high-value electronic assemblies\nMentor junior technicians in component-level troubleshooting and soldering best practices\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience in hands-on PCB repair and component-level troubleshooting\nProven ability to diagnose faults and repair boards at the component level (not just replace entire assemblies)\nStrong soldering and rework skills, including fine-pitch components and BGA rework\nExperience with server, storage, networking, or other high-performance computing hardware preferred\nDeep understanding of board-level electronics, including power architecture and signal integrity fundamentals\nExperience debugging DDR memory, PCIe interfaces, and high-speed interconnects\nAbility to read and interpret complex schematics and PCB layout files\nProficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electronic test equipment\nExperience in SMT or high-volume electronics manufacturing environments strongly preferred\nWhy Apply:\nOpportunities with leading electronics manufacturing organizations\nCompetitive compensation and potential for long-term growth\nExposure to advanced manufacturing technologies and engineering teams\n\nInterested in Attending the Hiring Event?\nThe hiring event will take place on:\nWednesday, July 8th & Thursday, July 9th\n9:00 AM - 12:00PM and\n4:00 PM – 6:30 PM\n\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
