Tens of thousands of Mill’s residential food recyclers are already helping households divert millions of pounds of food scraps every year, paving the way for our upcoming launch of Mill Commercial—the industry’s first end-to-end solution for managing, understanding, and preventing food waste in commercial environments (e.g. grocery, restaurants, food services). At Mill, we are passionate about building easy-to-use, beautifully designed technologies that keep food in the food system and out of landfills.Objectives Of This RoleSystem EPMs must be fearless organizers who are ready to work with the highly skilled hardware, software, mechanical design and industrial design teams to identify and resolve potential risks to the schedule and risks to the quality of the product. Success is defined in terms of the quality and timeliness of the pre-production builds and the start of mass production. System EPMs need to have a strong understanding of development and manufacturing processes, from part design to manufacturing to production line bring-up.We are looking for someone who can balance detailed tactical execution on immediate priorities along with a holistic, strategic vision of the entire program. Cross-functional communication skills and experience are essential. Proven track record of managing complex hardware product schedules and engineering. Experience in NPI involving both new hardware and software integration.Strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Knowledge of product development processes as well as an understanding of large scale manufacturing processes such as those used in appliances, automotive, or similar products. Ability to travel domestically and internationally.The estimated base salary range for this position is $180k to $230k, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs.
