FINANCIAL COUNSELOR (Medicaid Eligibility)

Job Description Work with uninsured population w/Government programs, i.e., (Medicaid)in a hospital setting.Bi-lingual - Spanish a plusInterview patients to determine linkage to Medicaid at hospital bedside.Knowledge of Medicaid and Indigent programsKnowledge of Medicaid application process.Knowledge of DPSS process as it pertains to submission of Medicaid applications.Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Epic and/or other hospital computer programs) etc.1-3 years' experience in the healthcare/hospital setting.Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities without missing deadlines.Ability to effectively communicate in a professional and accurate manner with the uninsured,Internal staff, in all written and verbal communication.
