This role oversees project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and field execution while serving as the primary liaison between customers, field operations, subcontractors, and company leadership.\r\nWorking closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and Operations, the Project Manager ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, financially minded, and experienced managing multiple construction projects in a fast-paced environment.\r\nKey Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution Manage multiple projects from startup through closeout\r\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans\r\nCoordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and project logistics\r\nMonitor project progress and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule or budget\r\nReview project contracts, plans, specifications, and change orders\r\nParticipate in project meetings, site walks, and customer coordination\r\nMonitor project budgets, job costs, forecasting, and profitability\r\nReview and approve invoices, change orders, and project billing\r\nTrack labor, equipment, and material costs\r\nCoordinate with Accounting to ensure accurate project reporting and invoicing\r\nField & Client Support Serve as the primary point of contact between field crews, customers, subcontractors, and management\r\nProvide leadership and support to Superintendents and field personnel\r\nConduct jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety\r\nBuild strong customer relationships and address project issues promptly\r\nQuality, Safety & Reporting Promote compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements\r\nEnsure projects meet quality standards and contract specifications\r\nReview daily reports, timecards, production logs, and project documentation\r\nPrepare project updates, forecasts, and status reports\r\nIdentify opportunities to improve project performance and operational efficiency\r\nGeneral Responsibilities Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\r\nCollaborate effectively with field and office teams\r\nTravel to project sites as needed (up to 50%)\r\nPerform other duties as assigned\r\nQualifications: Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred\r\n3-5 years of construction project management experience\r\nExperience with underground utilities, trenchless rehabilitation, or heavy civil construction preferred\r\nSkills & Abilities Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills\r\nExperience with budgeting, job costing, scheduling, and resource planning\r\nProficient in Microsoft Office; NetSuite or project management software experience is a plus\r\nAbility to read construction plans and specifications\r\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\r\nSafety-focused with experience working in field environments\r\nAbility to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities\r\nBenefits - we offer a competitive total compensation package including health, vision, and dental insurance, 401K retirement plan, income protection insurance, off the job accident insurance, PTO and more!\r\nVortex Companies, LLC and all of its subsidiaries, considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, age, national origin, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, or sexual orientation.
