We provide quality resources in four specialty areas: Information Technology (IT), Clinical Research, Rehabilitation Therapy, and Nursing.\r\nJob Description\r\nIf you are available and interested, please call me at 732 549 2660 to discuss in detail.\r\nTitle: Virtualization and Server Administrator\r\nJob Description\r\nThe Virtualization and Server Administrator is responsible for advanced administration, design, build, implementation, and support of server environments, including VMware vSphere-hosted virtual machines, Citrix XenApp farms, and physical Windows servers.\r\nThis position also provides support for UNIX and LINUX server environments, disk storage systems, backup/restore environments, and local area network/wireless network communications equipment to effectively support LifeCell's network and server operations.\r\nPrimary Duties/Responsibilities:\r\nManage and administer Server Virtualization (VMware 4.x & 5.x/Citrix 5.x) and Windows Servers: Build/design VM requirements, manage and perform physical server host and guest OS maintenance, installation, patching, configuration, support, backup/restore, monitoring, trending. Administration of Windows server environments, SAN, disk storage, LVM structures, file systems, SQL Server, system tuning, shell scripting, user account management. (30%)\r\nProvide technical scripting, tooling, and automation: for continuous and efficient operations. (10%)\r\nParticipate in activities/projects involving server hardware and disk storage solutions: serve as team representative, handle critical assignments, troubleshooting. (10%)\r\nOperational Server Support: define and implement monitoring procedures, generate performance metrics, recommend hardware/software architectures, maintain documentation. (10%)\r\nEnsure compliance: with policies and procedures in collaboration with Corporate IT. (5%)\r\nParticipate in on-call rotation and after-hours duties. (10%)\r\nGenerate metrics: to trend disk storage, server performance, network utilization. (5%)\r\nSchedule and monitor backups and operational activities. (10%)\r\nParticipate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and execution. (10%)\r\nQualifications\r\nUniversity Degree: BS in computer science or related field.\r\nExperience: 1-3 yrs SAN/NAS, 3-5 yrs VMware/Citrix, SharePoint 2007, Active Directory, Backup/Restore; 5-7 yrs Windows Server, 7-10 yrs Windows Server Admin.\r\nOther skills include extensive experience in VMware, Citrix, SharePoint, SQL, Active Directory, backup/restore, and disaster recovery concepts.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience with Data Center Virtualization, SAN, NAS, Citrix technologies, SharePoint 2007, scripting, performance monitoring, and supporting Citrix Metaframe. Strong communication, troubleshooting, and multitasking skills.
