St. Pius X Catholic School in Mountlake Terrace seeks an enthusiastic and creative part time Music Teacher, starting with the 2026-27 school year. St. Pius X is a Preschool thru 8th grade Catholic school fully in partnership with Parish Family 10, including St. Pius X Parish and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. We are looking for someone interested in joining our faith-filled, joyful community!REPORTS TO: School PrincipalCLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, HourlyWORK SCHEDULE: 15 hours/week, must include Wednesday mornings, 78 day/year based on school calendar plus additional evenings for performances. Schedule to be worked out with the Principal prior to the start of school.BENEFITS: This position is part time and not benefits eligiblePAY: $18,000-$21,000 Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.I. Major Duties And ResponsibilitiesA focus on performance, music theory, and music appreciation for studentsDirecting performances and leading music for class liturgiesPlanning and providing clear and intentional focused music/choral instructionSelect appropriate music, books and instructional aids/supplies as necessaryHelp to prepare for the school's liturgical celebrationsPrepare students to sing at school liturgiesCollaborate with the teachers in providing musical programs for school ceremonies and seasonal programs (for example: Nativity program, Spring Concert, and Talent Show)Communicating effectively with students, parents and colleaguesEvaluate/report each student's musical growth, performance, and musical understandingIii.
