This role is crucial to shaping the future of Locust Cloud, and you'll be working on both the frontend and backend.Your expertise in Python and experience with cloud will help us bring our offer to market quickly without compromising on code quality or limiting future possibilities.Locust Technologies is a fully remote early-stage startup that prefers employees located in the United States or contractors in other locations.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain: Build new features for our service and refine the ones already in place. Help design and improve the AWS-powered infrastructure we use.Collaborate: Work closely with the rest of the team, discussing and prioritizing new features and improvements.Innovate: Push the boundaries of what's possible with Locust, ensuring it stays ahead of its competitors in flexibility and ease of use.Optimize: Ensure high performance and scalability of our software and service.Adapt: As we're a small company, we all need to be more than one thing. One day, you might be perfecting how we deploy our service; the next, you could be creating a new graph in the UI to help our customers analyze their test results.RequirementsFull-time (40 hours/week)Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python developmentExperience with load/performance testingExperience with AWS or other cloud service providerComfortable working remotely full-time in a startup environment (eg. on-camera meetings, flexible schedule)Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a teamNice-to-HaveFamiliarity with LocustExperience with React, MaterialUI and ViteExperience with AWS & ChaliceExperience with KubernetesExperience writing high performance/low latency code in PythonExperience with OpenTelemetryExperience with PrometheusAcademic degree in Computer Science or a related fieldPublic work for review (eg.
