They leverage foundational knowledge in system administration and a passion for learning in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Collaborating with senior engineers they perform routine system tasks, troubleshoot issues, and assist in system upgrades and automation initiatives that ensure the operational integrity for our CUSO client base.\nWhat you will do here:\nSystem Monitoring & Maintenance\nAssist in performing regular health checks and routine maintenance of Linux and AIX systems.\nHelp monitor DB2 databases to ensure availability and performance.\nSupport incident response by helping identify root causes and working on basic troubleshooting under supervision.\nUpgrades & Patch Support\nLearn and participate in the planning and execution of operating system and software patching/upgrades.\nCoordinate with senior engineers to apply security updates in line with organizational policies.\nHelp document upgrade steps and post-upgrade verification procedures.\nDisaster Recovery & Business Continuity\nParticipate in disaster recovery (DR) tests to support business continuity plans.\nMaintain and update DR process documentation as directed by senior team members.\nAutomation & Documentation\nLeverage automation tools and scripts to develop and maintain efficiency and reliability of daily processing jobs and tasks\nDocument systems configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures.\nWork closely with core operations, infrastructure engineers, and other technical teams to support system reliability.\nWhat you will need:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and experience required.\n3+ years related work experience required.\n1+ years experience with system administration, maintenance, and upgrades for Linux/AIX environments required.\n1+ years hands-on experience with DB2 database upgrades, troubleshooting, and backup strategies preferred.\nProficiency in Linux (RHEL) and AIX administration tasks preferred.\nExpertise with DB2 database administration, tuning, and maintenance preferred.\nExpertise with cloud-based infrastructure and virtualization technologies preferred.\nUnderstanding of server security, networking, and storage management preferred.\nFamiliarity with Keystone application and architecture and its dependencies preferred.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities required.\nExcellent communication and documentation skills required.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment required.\nRHCE preferred.\nIBM Certified Administrator preferred.\nAIX preferred.\nDBE preferred.\nWe are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
