We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate hybrid with a minimum of 3 days a week at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility in Mossville, IL.\n\nThis is a full-time position with a full benefit package listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.\n\nThis position will apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical systems engineer analyzes user needs, and then designs, tests, and develops software to meet those needs.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nModify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.\n\nWrite and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.\n\nWork as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.\n\nReview project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.\n\n5+ years of demonstrated work experience.\n\nProven ability to work on production products through design, implementation, customer rollout, and support.\n\nAbility to decompose complex customer requirements into achievable technical requirements for the systems that make up the product.\n\nKnowledge and experience with Autonomous Systems\n\nExperience with systems integration over CAN and Ethernet\n\nDesired Attributes\n\nVerbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and manage one’s time.\n\nBasic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.\n\nKnowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.\n\nKnowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.\n\nKnowledge of computer development software across multiple platforms.\n\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.\nPay Range: $90,000-$110,000 – Commensurate with experience\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943. Our primary focus is the development of off highway equipment including agricultural, construction, mining, recreational, industrial, and special machines. Our work includes concept development, product design, documentation, problem-solving, simulation, optimization, and testing of components, systems and complete machines.
