This internship will provide hands-on experience in database modeling, development, and maintenance.\r\nLearning Scope Analyze data requirements for business applications and build conceptual model.\r\nDevelop physical data model and data migration/conversion strategies for internally hosted applications.\r\nReference data maintenance. Work with business analyst to keep the reference data as per industry standard.\r\nTroubleshoot production data issues. Identify and clean up junk data.\r\nProgram and write SQL code to support the creation of tables, views, stored procedures, functions, reports and triggers.\r\nDevelop and maintain complex stored procedures, views and functions on MariaDB, MySQL, DB2 AS400 and DB2 LUW databases.\r\nUtilize software development principles and experience to support the full lifecycle of software products.\r\nWork with application teams to identify ways to optimize the database tier and work to implement improvements for future releases.\r\nDesirable Skills Ability to be flexible and work well with changing priorities.\r\nTime management skills with ability to participate in multiple projects/work streams.\r\nDevelop simultaneously as well as strong analytical/problem solving skills.\r\nA self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision.\r\nHave the ability to express yourself well, verbally and on email.\r\nAbility to work with all levels of staff, management and external vendors.\r\nStrong knowledge of Python Object Oriented Programming, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.\r\nKnowledge on frameworks such as Flask, Django along with NumPy, pandas.\r\nSolid understanding of HTML and JavaScript.\r\nSolid understanding of SQL.\r\nDesigning, implementing and using REST APIs to orchestrate services in support of business requirements.\r\nFamiliar with Git tool for source code control and continuous integration.\r\nFluent in Linux/UNIX shell and common commands.\r\nRequired Experience BS, BA in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, MIS, or relevant technology degree.\r\nE-Verify Program Participant Copart participates in the Department of Homeland Security U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services' E-Verify program (for U.S. applicants and employees only).
