MADISON CONSOLIDATED SCHOOLS Position Title: Food Service Assistant Reports to: Cafeteria Manager and Director of Quality Systems, Operations and Auxiliary Support FLSA: Non-exempt Summary of the position: Supervises and oversees the dining area when students are having lunch. Helps keep the dining area clean and pleasant for students. Assists in the cafeteria with the preparation of attractive and nutritious meals. Performs any tasks assigned by the food service manager. Qualifications: Demonstrate aptitude and/or abilities for performing the tasks required. High school diploma or the equivalent. Supervises: N/A Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor students in the dining area Assist in the cafeteria where needed Clean tables, etc. in the dining area Help clean up between and after serving period Other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: Must be able to lift 40 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
