What You'll Do Write & Optimize Code: Develop, debug, and optimize complex CMM programs from 3D CAD models and detailed blueprints. Interpret GD&T: Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure absolute compliance with customer specifications. Support New Product Launches: Collaborate with Engineering during APQP/PPAP phases to design fixture layouts and establish measurement protocols for new programs. Troubleshoot & Root Cause: Partner with Production and Quality Engineers to analyze dimensional discrepancies, solve complex manufacturing issues, and resolve calibration anomalies. Manage the Lab: Maintain calibration schedules, oversee lab organization, and champion best practices in metrology. Requirements: Proven Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment (automotive experience highly preferred). Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in industry-standard CMM software (such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent). GD&T Mastery: Expert-level understanding of ASME Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing standards. Technical Literacy: Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
