The team brings together data, application development, and machine learning - including generative AI - along with data services and customer success functions, to help IS&T build solutions more efficiently and streamline the adoption and embedding of generative AI across Apple.\n\nDescription\n\nThe role will design and build core platform capabilities - from high-throughput data pipelines for business automation to AI-powered insights and agentic automation to the interfaces that put them in users’ hands. You own your products through the full lifecycle: shipping new features, triaging and resolving critical production issues, and ensuring operational health. You will provide technical leadership on architecture, engineering standards, and technology choices, and partner closely with product and design to ensure what we build actually moves the needle.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with microservices, system design, scalability, fault tolerance, concurrency, and performance optimization.\n\nSolid CI/CD and DevOps practices\n\nProven ability to deliver end-to-end product features with a product-owner mindset and focus on user/business outcomes.\n\nAbility to translate ambiguous business problems into clean, scalable technical designs\n\nStrong communicator who collaborates naturally across engineering, product, and stakeholders\n\nPassion for quality, attention to detail and internationalization\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\n10+ years building and scaling production-grade full-stack and backend services using Node.js, ReactJS, TypeScript, and Java.\n\nExperience with Kafka and Flink for event-driven architectures, real-time stream processing, and distributed systems.\n\nExperience building AI-powered products, including LLM integration, agentic workflows, NLP pipelines, and intelligent automation.\n\nHands-on with cloud-native stack: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS\n\nProficient with SQL and NoSQL databases at scale\n\nBS in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nPay & Benefits\n\nAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $216,200 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.\n\nApple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
