Uses standard boxes, crates, or skids for shipments. Construct nonstandard boxes or containers. Selects materials for packing or protecting products and method of bracing or blocking to prevent shifting or damage while in transit. Checks packing list to ensure inclusion of required components and parts. Applies required labels or stencils. Role could be performed by an employee minimal on the job training.\nSchedule:\nMonday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm Overtime on Fridays\nScope and Function:\nWork to gain knowledge and new techniques to improve and increase productivity.\nFollow all safety and housekeeping rules.\nFollow company policies.\nCross-train into other areas and job functions as needed.\nWilling to assist in other areas as needed.\nSkills/Ability:\nProficiently read and use a tape measure.\nSkills to safely and proficiently operate all of the following:\nPanel Saw\nSkill Saw\nForklift\nChop Saw\nNail and Staple Guns\nAbility to read, write and speak English in order to interpret shipping documents, shop drawings and communicate in English with drivers.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCarpentry or construction experience\nForklift certification - Company program certification will be required\nKnowledge of shipping and receiving\nResponsibilities:\nBuild crates for equipment to be shipped out.\nFasten and place all equipment inside the crate properly.\nAccurately mark all exterior crates.\nAccurately complete all required documents, including inspection/crating forms.\nFollow all safety and housekeeping rules.\nActively participate in safety program activities.\nFollow company policies.\nAssist Shipping department with other tasks when necessary.\nCross train loading dock area\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
