As part of the Corporate Communications team, you'll contribute to shaping a narrative that clearly and confidently articulates the urgent need for breach containment as a foundational cybersecurity strategy and Illumio's leadership in this space. In this role, you won't just support communications—you'll help create work that provokes action, sparks industry conversations, and drives understanding of why segmentation is now essential for every security leader.Our Marketing team powers Illumio's brand by transforming complex cybersecurity challenges into bold, credible stories that resonate across industries. As we expand global awareness around breach containment and Illumio's proven ability to stop ransomware and cyberattacks from spreading, you'll play a key role in amplifying our message, strengthening our industry presence, and supporting initiatives that help organizations build resilience in an increasingly dynamic threat landscape.Your Impact:Research and shortlist external speaking and panel opportunities for E-staff; develop outreach strategiesSupport planning and pitching processes: create pitch decks, compile briefing materials, assist in outreach executionAssist in podcast research, editing, and content preparationPerform competitive benchmarking across PR, media presence, and social platformsTrack and report on PR/social metrics—coverage volume, engagement, share of voiceAssist with internal/external messaging, press releases, newsletters, and communications campaignsHelp build media lists, send pitches, and support outreach follow-upCollaborate with cross-functional teams, updating decks, and maintaining a content calendarUpdate website with news coverage and award winsYour Toolkit:Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Journalism, or related fieldStrong research and writing abilities; comfort working across formats—briefing docs, pitches, social contentFamiliarity with podcast editing; experience using basic audio toolsProficiency with social media platforms and analytical tools (e.g., native analytics, Google Analytics)Demonstrated attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsPassion for proactive, creative communication and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentTeam oriented with strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborateBouns Points:Exposure to media pitching or public speaking event supportExperience with press monitoring tools or benchmarking toolsBasic Microsoft Office and multimedia skills (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint, Photoshop)What You'll Gain:Mentorship from seasoned Communications and PR professionalsHands-on experience with media pitching, podcast production, and social media creationExposure to high-visibility events and thought leadership opportunitiesCareer development workshops and networking with senior leadershipOpportunities to explore and experiment with AI toolsOur Commitment:Illumio believes that an environment of unique backgrounds, experiences, viewpoints, and individual contributions drives our success and makes us stronger together.
