As a Senior Product Engineer, you will be a key technical leader responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing complex systems and features. You will act as a mentor, coach, and problem solver, collaborating closely with other team members to drive innovation and technical excellence.\r\nDesign and own the development of new features while maintaining scalable and high-performance backend systems.\r\nHave advanced domain knowledge and be able to challenge business requirements in order to shape the best technical solution.\r\nDrive and uphold high engineering standards, perform code reviews, and ensure delivered code is compliant with the set standards.\r\nParticipate in business requirements reviews and provide a technical assessment of complexity, risks, and impact on existing systems.\r\nProvide mentoring and coaching to junior engineers in the team, evaluate their technical progress, and help set development plans.\r\nExplore new technical solutions and tools with the target to enhance engineers' productivity and facilitate their work.\r\nParticipate in team meetings, stand-ups, and architecture/design discussions.\r\nIdentify areas of improvement in existing frameworks, tools, and processes, and strive to make them.\r\nParticipate in the roadmap definition for the team. Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.\r\nKey Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.\r\n5+ years of experience in software development, preferably 3+ years of experience in Laravel backend development.\r\nStrong proficiency in one or more programming language such as PHP (with Laravel framework), Java or Python.\r\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\r\nStrong software design skills, with a track record of delivering on-time, highly scalable, secure, and performant products.\r\nHands-on coder with strong knowledge of software development principles such as OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles.\r\nStrong data modelling skills and ability to translate real-world concepts into database designs.\r\nAdvanced experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, designing schemas, and complex SQL queries.\r\nAdvanced experience in caching and queuing systems such as Redis.\r\nExpert using versioning and code management tools such as Git and Bitbucket, and in-depth knowledge of branching strategies.\r\nExperience with cloud services such as AWS and the ability to design and build serverless and containerised architectures.\r\nKnowledge and experience working in teams using agile methodologies.\r\nProficiency in using Jira for issue tracking, project management and agile development lifecycle.\r\nStrong verbal and written communication skills in English.\r\nExperience with mentoring Engineers.\r\nNice to have: Experience collaborating with product, legal, and operations teams to ensure compliance with KYC/B, Identity & Privacy regulations.\r\nFluent in English and Arabic.
