CAD Drafter

An experienced CAD drafter of architectural products like fireplace mantels and surrounds. To make CADs and operate a CNC hot wire foam machine. In this role, you will create foam molds that serve as the forms for our cast stone products. Key Responsibilities Program and operate a CNC hot wire foam cutting machine to produce precise foam molds based on CAD designs Reference sketches and engineered drawings to visualize and fabricate foam tooling for molds Measure and inspect foam pieces to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality Maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment, following preventive maintenance routines Document production activities and communicate any irregularities or needs for repairs Adhere to safety and quality assurance processes at all times Requirements Proficiency with CAD software for creating and modifying mold designs. Experience operating CNC hot wire foam cutters, preferably in a manufacturing or mold-building environment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail and quality control. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Your primary responsibilities will include creating detailed schematics and technical drawings using advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D. With core skills in drafting and CAD, coupled with premium expertise in tools like NavisWorks and SolidWorks, you will contribute to various projects, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. Your role is essential in bridging the gap between conceptual designs and practical implementation in construction and mechanical design.
