In this role, you will prepare structural plans and reports, review work for accuracy and compliance, and provide technical recommendations throughout construction.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPrepare and analyze structural design plans, specifications, estimates, and reports in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.\n\nDevelop plans and specifications for concrete, structural steel, timber, masonry, metal, and other building materials.\n\nAssist with the design and layout of foundations and floor, wall, and roof framing systems.\n\nReview structural plans, calculations, and completed work for accuracy, constructability, and conformance with recognized standards.\n\nPrepare quality assurance plans, feasibility studies, preliminary designs, cost estimates, and reports.\n\nReview structural services provided by engineering consultants and architects, and recommend revisions as needed.\n\nConduct site investigations and prepare scoping reports and recommendations.\n\nEvaluate soils data and environmental reports to inform foundation design recommendations.\n\nAdvise contractors, architects, engineers, and construction inspectors on structural issues during construction.\n\nMonitor project status, recommend changes, and assist other engineering and design staff.\n\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in structural engineering, or a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a specialization in structural engineering.\n\nAt least three years of full-time, paid professional structural engineering experience.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with school building construction.\n\nProfessional Engineer (PE) certification recognized by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\nStruction Solutions is a veteran-owned and operated company specializing in disaster response and recovery, insurance claims support, environmental inspections, specialty staffing, and drone-powered aerial services.
