Each Private Dining Server employee is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Gibsons Restaurant Group’s philosophy, which is based upon four distinct core beliefs: Hospitality, Quality, Family and Value.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nServe customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that “the customer is always right”!\nPerform private dining room set-up, running side work and closing duties.\nHave extensive knowledge of the private dining menu and wine list, including specials.\nCheck identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages.\nParticipate in table and dining room clean up.\nCompute customer checks, operate the POS system and accept payments.\nAccurately report tips for each shift.\nMaintain dining room safety and sanitation standards.\nBe aware of potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falling or burns.\nArrive for each shift on time and in full uniform.\nAttend all pre-shift meetings ready to “listen and learn” and share ideas.\nAvoid leaving work area during peak periods.\nTake breaks only when approved by a Manager.\nKeep a clean and professional appearance at all times.\nMust pass general information and departmental tests.\nMay perform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred and six months to one year experience serving in a restaurant preferred; or a combination of education and experience.\nSkills:\nAbility to effectively communicate verbally with customers and other staff in fast-paced environment. Ability to do basic math. Ability to follow instructions and procedures. Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
