Job DescriptionECS is seeking a Cloud Developer - Senior to work in our Washington, DC office.Research, architect, develop, and modify enterprise-scale cloud applications and infrastructure with a focus on automation, security, and maintainabilityCollaborate and support the planning of system and development deployment as well as meeting software compliance standards with a particular focus involving integrations and data analytic solutions.Design and implement solutions leveraging modern DevOps tools and practices, including infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelinesTranslate complex requirements into modular, testable components and technical documentationSupport the ongoing maintenance, performance tuning, and security hardening of applicationsContribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and iterative delivery cyclesSalary Range: $180,000 - $190,000General Description Of BenefitsRequired SkillsMust have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining SCI CI-Poly if needed to meet contract requirementsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field5+ years of experience designing and deploying large scale distributed environments within commercial cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or TerraformFamiliarity with containerization technologies including Docker and AWS FargateHands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab or JenkinsStrong understanding of cloud networking fundamentals (e.g., NACLs, security groups, routing tables)Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences verbally and in writing to design efficient and effective applications.Demonstrated troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues in distributed cloud environmentsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within an Agile team structureDesired SkillsAWS/Azure CertificationExperience with compiled languages such as Java, C++, or .NETFamiliarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and participation in ATO (Authority to Operate) processesExposure to hybrid or multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure)#ECS1ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis any characteristic protected by law.
